Autumn Carpenter is a third generation confectionery artist. Her grandparents, Wilbur and Mildred Brand started Country Kitchen a specialty cake supply store in Ft Wayne, Indiana that has grown to selling candy making, cookie making , and wedding supplies nationwide. Autumn works at Country Kitchen Sweet Art making displays of cakes, cookies and candies, is a wedding consultant and teaches classes. She is an accomplished author of books including: Creative Cupcakes, Cookie Boxes and Other 3-D Projects, Cookie Decorating, All About Candy Making and Fun Cookie Bouquets. She teaches annually at the ICES convention and has traveled to several states, sharing the craft of cookie decorating and other confectionery arts.

Autumn will be teaching 2 separate cookie decorating classes on Monday after the Austin Cake Show at All In One Bake Shop. The morning class (9 am to 12 noon) is Classic Cookie Decorating Techniques and will involve royal icing, piping, run sugar and more. The afternoon class (2 -5 pm) is Cookie Bouquets which will involve cookies on sticks, decorating, composition, containers and more. The cost for each class in $75. Both class can be taken for $125. All supplies are included and students will leave with their own decorated cookies. Lunch is not included. The classes will be Monday, February 25, 2008 in Austin. Location details will be provided.
