Dear Event Postings Advertisers,
Is that really cake? That's what you will be asking yourself when you attend the 4th Annual "That Takes The Cake" Capital Confectioners Sugar Art Show and Competition to take place here in Austin, Texas at the Texas Star Meeting & Event Center at 11810 Manchaca Rd. Austin, TX 78748. This event will be the Largest Cake and Sugar Art Competition in Texas! Our 2008 Show will feature Cake Displayed Entries, Real-time Cake Decorating Competitions, Food Network Challenge Veterans, Authors & Celebrity Sugar Artists Demonstrations, Tasting Competition, Cake Samplings, Cake Decorating Demonstrations, an Award Ceremony, Raffle Drawings, Specialty Cake/Baking/Sugar Art Vendors and so much more!
Show Dates & Times:
Saturday, February 23rd, 2008 from 10-6pm through Sunday, February 24th, 2008 from 9-4pm.
General Entrance Costs:
Saturday $5.00, Sunday $2.00
(Saturday event entrance includes all demo's, competitions, viewing cake entries and award ceremony)
(Sunday event entrance includes viewing cake entries w/displayed awards only)
Programs included in price-one per family.
(Optional) Celebrity Sunday Showcase Demonstrations Costs:
Sunday $75.00 (before December 31st) or $90.00 (after December 31st)

Bronwen Weber, Executive Pastry Chef, Frosted Art in Dallas, TX, her cake designs are featured in Brides Magazines, & many cake magazines and is a current teacher & Food Network Challenge Star!
Nicholas Lodge, Chef, founder of the International Sugar Art Collection/Author, Food Network Judge, and commissioned to do work for England's Royal Family and created the wedding cake for Lady Diana and Prince Charles!
Earlene Moore, renowned Texas Sugar Artist and Teacher, her cake designs have been featured in American Cake Decorating Magazines.
Autumn Carpenter, a skilled Sugar Artist, teacher and author of a number of confectionery sugar arts books. Also, Granddaughter of the owners of Country Kitchen Cake & Candy Suppliers.
Steven Stellingwerf, an accomplished Sugar Artist, Judge and renown cookbook author of "The Gingerbread Book" and "A Little Muffin Cook Book".
Competition Details:
